Adelaide

Snøhetta's studio Adelaide is located in the West End of Adelaide’s central business district. We respectfully acknowledge that we are on Kaurna Country, the traditional lands of the Kaurna people.

Between our studios in Adelaide and Melbourne, we work together as Snøhetta Australasia. Established in 2016, our first completed project was Pridham Hall for University of South Australia with design partner JPE and JamFactory. We work on projects across the Australasian region, in both Australia and New Zealand.

Across our two studios we represent the disciplines of Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Art and Design. Some of our current projects include:

  • Harbourside - a mixed use residential, commercial and public offering on Tumbalong Bay, Sydney Harbour in partnership with Hassell
  • New Performing Arts Centre - for Queensland Performing Arts Centre, in Meanjin, Queensland in partnership with Blight Rayner
  • The Tea House - an adaptive reuse project of a heritage building in Naarm, Melbourne

Our Adelaide studio is a two-storey building which we have converted to share with a local arts organisation and artist studios at the lower level. We have a large workshop space for design and making in analogue methods. A large hand-painted Snøhetta logo graces our custom designed and made timber door.

We acknowledge and pay respect to Traditional Custodians of the lands throughout Australia on which we live, work and practice. We pay our respects to Elders and Ancestors of these lands and acknowledge that their sovereignty has never been ceded.
