Lillestrøm City Park is an open meeting place with enough density for friction, life and movement to occur. Quality, diversity in the program and opportunities for stays and meetings between people, are crucial success factors in this project. With well-proportioned zoning, colors, humour and creativity, the urban space has become a destination in itself, and the ultimate meeting place for all age groups.

The project introduces green and lush plantings with a great variety of greenery for color, increased biodiversity and seasonal variation. Visible water management has been used as an educational element for climate adaptation and stormwater management.

The urban space is made up of various smaller spaces where geometric shapes divide and structure the activity zones. In addition, lines of movement are formed between the urban spaces so you are naturally led through the park. The park contains both artistic and everyday elements and is unique enough for a wedding photo and robust enough for everyday use.

The park is universally designed, and the part belonging to Kvartal 1 is environmentally certified to BREEAM Excellent.
