Together with Sawaya & Moroni, an Italian design company known for its uncompromising, high-quality handcraft, Snøhetta has expanded the Sløyd family to include a comfortable seat that provides healthy working positions for its users. The shape of the seat is derived from wood shavings and forms a saddle that offers two ways of sitting – traditional and straddle. This allows the user flexibility and freedom to adjust their posture according to their activity.
The product has been handcrafted from the finest selection of solid oak wood and optional and elegant Italian leather version.

The Sløyd Stool series is available in three heights – 75, 65 and 42 cm, and was first presented during Milan Design Week 2019.
