Vertikal Nydalen wins Storebrand Eiendom's sustainability award

The award was presented on Tuesday evening, during an event on board Storebrand RS, in connection with Arendalsuka.

Vertikal Nydalen is a pilot in two research projects on sustainable energy solutions. The building has a simplified and self-sufficient climate system, and is Norway's first naturally climatized mixed-use building made for the urban and housing developer Avantor.

Kommunegården by Bærum Kommunale Pensjonskasse and Markeveien 1B by DNB Næringseiendom were also nominated for the award.

"It is high time we recognized the scale of the problem and took responsibility for reducing the sector's negative impact on the climate," Storebrand Eiendom writes in a statement; "Sustainability Award wants to highlight players who, through their ambitions and results, raise the standard in the industry."
