Bilbao Bizkaia Architecture honors Snøhetta with the 2024 BIA Award

The award, presented by the Spanish platform BIA, Bilbao Bizkaia Architecture, aims to highlight architecture's crucial role in addressing climate and energy challenges. The 2024 BIA Award recognizes Snøhetta's ongoing work with reimagining the urban landscape and its sustainability approach.

Snøhetta's founding partner, Kjetil Trædal Thorsen, will receive the award during the BIA Urban Regeneration Forum, which will take place in Bilbao from 11 to 13 December, an event that brings together industry professionals to share experiences and knowledge.

An independent jury has emphazied Snøhetta's philosophy of sustainable design and encouraging urban developments that seek social equity and respect for the environment.

"After more than 30 years of experience, Snøhetta's respect for sustainability and creating spaces for social interaction have been key to the Committee choosing the practice as a fair winner."
