October 24th marked the official opening of the Swarovski Manufaktur in Wattens, Austria – a Crystal Atelier of the 21st Century.
Developed for the Tyrolean crystal manufacturer, the Swarovski Manufaktur provides Swarovski new opportunities to work together with customers. This hybrid building merges facilities for design, product development and production and is perfectly suited for creative co-creation and rapid prototyping.
During the opening event, Kjetil Trædal Thorsen complimented Markus Langes-Swarovski on his visions and for making this innovative and inclusive fabrication facility possible.
The new factory not only sets a new standard for the future of creative work, but also for sustainability: The building meets the criteria of the LEED Gold Standard (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
